Trivia[]
- Yangnyan seems to be a reference to the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender and its sequel, The Legend of Korra.
- She could be at least partly based on the character Jinora, a young Airbender who also dreams of becoming a master and earning her tattoos.
- Her name could be borrowed from the character Yangchen, a nun and Avatar who was tattooed with arrows when she reached the rank of airbending master, and combined with nyan, the Japanese equivalent of the word "meow".
- Navi and Yarngirl are other Castle Cats heroes who appear to be references to the series.
- Yangnyan is quoting the monk Zenyatta, a character in the multiplayer shooter Overwatch, who also says, "Experience tranquility."[1]
