The Summer Event 2020 is a full event in Castle Cats that was added in version 2.13. The event started on August 3rd, with a mid-event update on August 28th, and ran until October 4th.
This event brought six new cats, three that could be purchased with real money, and three that could be acquired through Alchemy. It also featured the return of all seven cats from previous Summer events.
Hero outfits for four cats also returned, and new customization options for your guild leader were available in the Event Shop. Previous Summer items returned through the Event Box.

For the duration of the event, pearls can spawn to the right of the archway in the guild hall. Pearls spawn a maximum of once per day, and have a chance to spawn when the guild hall is reloaded and it is not raining. If VFX is on, collecting a pearl will trigger rain that will continue for the rest of the day; if it's not still raining, then the game did not save the pearl being collected. VFX does not need to be on for pearls to spawn, it just helps provide feedback on when a pearl can spawn and when one has been collected.

Material Boost[]
If there are ads to watch in the system, the ads button will appear. When activated, the material boost gives you double the amount of Event material on non-event quests.
The purchase of microtransaction heroes during this event replaces the material boost from advertisements. Buying one cat will give you double the materials from non-event quests, while buying two will give you triple the materials. This version of the boost is permanent for the duration of the event itself.
