Hood appears to be based on the title character of the fairytale "Little Red Riding Hood".
- She sports a red hood from Rank 2 onward.
- Hood's line says she wants to visit her grandma, as the girl in the fairytale did.
- Her warning against trusting strangers comes from Little Red Riding Hood's encounter with a wolf impersonating her grandmother.
Hood's Hero Book entry about her delivering cakes made from a secret recipe could be a reference to the movie Hoodwinked!, which involves a villain trying to steal secret cake recipes.
