Rich is available annually in the Valentine Events, offered originally in 2019 for $4.99 USD, and from 2020 onward for 300 gems and as a possible reward in the Event Box.
Rich was a Timewalker for 300 gems on April 26, 2020; on May 23, 2021; on May 2, 2022; and on May 6, 2023.
Buying Rich unlocks the Valentine 2019 Story Book.

- Rich is likely a reference to the character Rich Goranski from the musical Be More Chill.
- During the Valentine 2019 Quest, after Rich sets fire to his room, Pipsqueak says, "Rich set a fire and burned down his room", which is similar to the line, "Rich set a fire and he burned down the house," in the musical's song "The Smartphone Hour (Rich Set A Fire)"; the other cats then continue talking about how Rich set the fire, which also happens in the musical.
- Rich's Hero Book entry seems to be a reference to the computer in Goranski's brain that tells him what to do.
- Rich's line "Super Intelligent Inner Mage - a SIIM" might be a play on the SQUIP, or "Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor", that was mentioned in the musical.
- Rich might also be a reference to the character Gaston from Disney's movie musical Beauty and the Beast.
- They have similar appearances.
- Rich's line, "If there's a beast around, I'll slay it," could refer to Gaston's determination to kill the Beast.
- Rich's line about no one doing quests like himself covers the song "Gaston", in which the line, "No one [does action] like Gaston," is frequently repeated.
- Rich is also very flirtatious much like Gaston.
- Rich is a participant in Ember, Catania's version of the dating app Tinder that has appeared in the game during Valentine Events since 2021; his profile reads as follows: I'll be frank. Only 1 out of the 1000 of you who drool over my sweet bod' are good enough to even send me a message. Superlikes gives[sic] you no bonuses. I only reply to chicks on my level.
