Trivia[]

Luna Sparkle is most likely based on the characters Princess Luna and Twilight Sparkle from the animated television series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
- One of her lines is "Friendship is magic."
- Luna Sparkle says she's an alicorn, a pony with both Pegasus wings and a unicorn horn, as are Princess Luna and later Twilight Sparkle.
- The Anniversary 2018 Event Story reveals that Luna Sparkle can walk in dreams like Princess Luna.
- Celestia, Cherry, June, Minty Heart and Starsky are other Castle Cats heroes who are probably derived from particular characters in the My Little Pony franchise.
Her line about being "the fluffiest of them all" might be a play on the desire of the Queen from the fairy tale "Snow White" to be "the fairest of them all".
- Alternatively it could be Luna trying to one-up a unicorn plushie in the movie Despicable Me, about which the character Agnes shouts, "It's so fluffy!"
Luna inadvertently takes a magical object belonging to Harbour, hindering his ability to avert disaster in the Summer 2019 Quest.
