Castle Cats is largely structured around limited-time seasonal events. Major or full events feature a quest-driven story campaign and the introduction of new heroes and other collectibles. Minor or mini-events only sometimes include new heroes but rarely include story quests. Some events recur every year while others have a less regular schedule, and a few were either singular events or have apparently been discontinued. Although it has varied widely in the past and could change in the future, recent events usually run for roughly 6 to 8 weeks each with no more than a day between the end of one and the beginning of the next.
There are or were 13 different events that have cats associated with them. Eight of these are or were recurring full events with storyline quests: Halloween, Purrismas, Valentine, Spring Festival, Call of Heroes, Summer, Anniversary, and Charity. (It appears that full Charity events will no longer be held, and some of the cats associated with them, also known as Celebrity Heroes, are now available by other means.) Of the smaller events, two run concurrently with full events: Mew Year's Eve mini-events during Purrismas and Lunar New Year mini-events during Valentine events. The final three events only happened once or twice some time ago and all six cats associated with them are now available instead as Weekly Challenges.

Note that prices shown in the offer images are not necessarily in U.S. dollars; they are more likely in Australian dollars or some other currency.

Spring Festival 2024[]
The Spring Festival Event 2024 was added in app version 4.4.0, began on March 4 and runs through April 22. It features a 25-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and, so far, three new limited-time event cats: Fuzzy and Amani can be crafted in Alchemy, and Grace can be purchased as a microtransaction. All 37 previous Spring Festival heroes can be obtained in various ways, and past Spring Festival customization items are available in the Event Box.
Lunar New Year 2024[]
The Lunar New Year 2024 mini-event began on February 10 and ran concurrently with the remainder of the Valentine Event 2024. It introduced one new limited-time event cat, Loong, acquired through gems, and also featured the return of all seven previous Lunar New Year heroes.
Valentine Event 2024[]
The Valentine Event 2024, added in app version 4.4, began on January 15, received a mid-event update on February 10, and ran through March 2. It included a 16-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Dixie, Nate, and Catalin could be crafted in Alchemy, and Daisy, Velvet, and Lockhart could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 31 previous Valentine heroes as well as inclusion of past Valentine customization items in the Event Box.

Mew Year's Eve 2023[]
The Mew Year's Eve mini-event began on December 31 and ran concurrently with the remainder of the Purrismas Event 2023. It introduced one new limited-time event hero, Scott, and one new limited-time guild leader customization item in exchange for Purrismas materials. Additionally, all seven previous Mew Year's Eve heroes were available in Alchemy or for gems in the Event Shop.
Purrismas Event 2023[]
The Purrismas Event 2023 was added in version 4.3. It began on November 20, received a mid-event update on December 13, and ran through January 13. It included a 25-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Otis, Yuki, and Quartz could be crafted in Alchemy, and Mishka, Chipper, and Suri could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 39 previous Purrismas heroes as well as inclusion of past Purrismas customization items in the Event Box.
Halloween Event 2023[]
The Halloween Event 2023 was added in app version 4.2. It began on September 15, received a mid-event update on October 18, and ran through November 18. It featured a 15-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Fang, Archie, and Clobber can be crafted in Alchemy, and Fallen, Maudie, and Squishy could be purchased as microtransactions. All 40 previous Halloween heroes could be obtained, and past Halloween customization items were available in the Event Box.
Summer Event 2023[]
The Summer Event 2023 was added in version 4.1. It began on August 7, received a mid-event update on August 30, and ran through September 23. It included an 18-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Limes, Gus, and Ray could be crafted in Alchemy, and Hyla, Lyric, and Musa could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 24 previous Summer heroes as well as included past Summer customization items in the Event Box.
Anniversary Event 2023[]
The Anniversary Event 2023 was added in app version 4.0. It began on June 12, received a mid-event update on July 5, and ran through August 4. It featured a 14-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Nyaoom, Payo, and Polly could be crafted in Alchemy, and Amanda, Emery, and Scifur could be purchased as microtransactions. All 22 previous Anniversary heroes could be obtained, and past Anniversary customization items were available in the Event Box.
Call of Heroes 2023[]
The Call of Heroes Event 2023 was added in app version 3.13. It began on April 24, received a mid-event update on May 17, and ran through June 10. It featured an 18-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Jo, Meloneto and Dusty could be crafted in Alchemy, and Charlotte, Splatter and Brego could be purchased as microtransactions. All 21 previous Call of Heroes characters returned, and past Call of Heroes customization items were available in the Event Box.
Spring Festival 2023[]
The Spring Festival Event 2023 was added in app version 3.12 and began on March 6, received a mid-event update on March 29, and ran through April 22. It featured a 17-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Dolly, Spike and Petunia could be crafted in Alchemy, and Muma, Sossa and Olga could be purchased as microtransactions. All 31 previous Spring Festival heroes could be obtained with in-game resources, and past Spring Festival customization items were available in the Event Box.
Lunar New Year 2023[]
The Lunar New Year 2023 mini-event began on January 22 and ran concurrently with the remainder of the Valentine Event 2023. It introduced one new limited-time event cat, Bungee, acquired through microtransaction, and also featured the return of all six previous Lunar New Year heroes.
Valentine Event 2023[]
The Valentine Event 2023, added in app version 3.11, began on January 16, received a mid-event update on February 8, and ran through March 4. It included an 18-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Morrina, Mintee and Thessie could be crafted in Alchemy, and Dimitri, Vio and Baah could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 25 previous Valentine heroes as well as inclusion of past Valentine customization items in the Event Box.

Mew Year's Eve 2022[]
The Mew Year's Eve mini-event began on December 31 and ran concurrently with the remainder of the Purrismas Event 2022. While no new cats were introduced, the mini-event offered two new limited-time guild leader customization items in exchange for Purrismas materials. Additionally, all seven previous Mew Year's Eve heroes were available in Alchemy or for gems in the Event Shop.

The Purrismas Event 2022 was added in version 3.10. It began on November 21, received a mid-event update on December 16, and ran through January 13. It included a 22-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: David, Hubble, and Penny could be crafted in Alchemy, and Kibo, Vana & Tir, and Saanvi could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 33 previous Purrismas heroes as well as inclusion of past Purrismas customization items in the Event Box.
Halloween Event 2022[]
The Halloween Event 2022 was added in version 3.9. It began on September 26, received a mid-event update on October 21, and scheduled ran through November 19. It included a 20-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Moffy, Susie and Scratch could be crafted in Alchemy, and Raksha, River and Nemi could be purchased via microtransaction. It also featured the return of all 34 previous Halloween heroes as well as inclusion of past Halloween customization items in the Event Box.
Summer Event 2022[]
The Summer Event 2022 was added in version 3.8. It began on August 8, received a mid-event update on August 31, and ran through September 24. It included a 16-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Rainbow, Fort and Zelda were craftable in Alchemy, and Adelaide, Veronica and Maahes could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 18 previous Summer heroes as well as inclusion of past Summer customization items in the Event Box.
Anniversary Event 2022[]
The Anniversary Event 2022, added in version 3.7, began on June 13, received a mid-event update on July 8, and ran through August 6. It included a 15-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Marigold, Pappa and Saber could be crafted in Alchemy, and Heen, Cherry and Alicia could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 16 previous Anniversary heroes as well as inclusion of past Anniversary customization items in the Event Box.
Call of Heroes 2022[]
The Call of Heroes Event 2022 was added in version 3.6. It began on April 25, received a mid-event update on May 18, and is scheduled to run through June 11. It includes a 16-quest story campaign; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Raven, Yasper and Zafrina can be crafted in Alchemy; and Strix, Jackson and Huan can be purchased as microtransactions. It also features the return of the 15 previous COH heroes as well as inclusion of past Call of Heroes customization items in the Event Box.
Ukraine Charity Event[]
The Castle Cats 3.6 update introduced a "Charity Event" special offer: proceeds from microtransaction purchases of Ukraine-themed guild leader items will go to the UA Red Cross to be used to help the victims of the war in Ukraine. The offer can be found by tapping on the sunflower icon at the bottom of the guild hall screen and is expected to remain available through the Call of Heroes 2022 event.
Spring Festival 2022[]
The Spring Festival Event 2022 was added in version 3.5. It began on March 7, received a mid-event update on March 30, and is scheduled to run through April 23. It includes a 17-quest storyline; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Peter, Devon and Atlas can be crafted in Alchemy, and Aspen, Tomo and Mira can be purchased as microtransactions. It also features the return of the 25 previous Spring Festival heroes as well as inclusion of past Spring Festival customization items in the Event Box.
Lunar New Year 2022[]
The Lunar New Year 2022 mini-event began on February 1 and ran concurrently with the remainder of the Valentine Event 2022. It introduced one new limited-time event cat, Pax, acquired through microtransaction, and also featured the return of all five of the previous Lunar New Year heroes.

The Valentine Event 2022 was added in version 3.4. It began on January 10, received a mid-event update on February 9, and ran through March 5. It included a 16-quest storyline; limited-time alchemy items, hero outfits and guild leader customizations; and six new limited-time event cats: Wriggley, Holland and Abby could be crafted in Alchemy; and Christian, Nora and Nils could be purchased as microtransactions. It also featured the return of all 27 previous Purrismas heroes as well as inclusion of past Purrismas customization items in the Event Box.

The Valentine Event 2021 was a full event, added in update 2.16. It started on January 11 and ended on February 28. It included a 15-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, five limited-time plushies, and three new limited-time event cats: EK-0 and Titania, who were craftable in Alchemy; and Demaires, Kate, and Iridessa, who were acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of the previous fifteen Valentine cats.

It also featured the return of the previous 21 Purrismas cats.

The Halloween Event 2020 was added in update 2.14. It started on October 5 and ended on November 22. It included a 15-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, four limited-time plushies, and seven new limited-time event cats: Lucas, Vaati and Cookie, who were craftable in Alchemy; Xerxes, Lune and Ace, who were acquired through microtransactions; and Ratchet, who was available for 300 gems. It also featured the return of the previous 21 Halloween cats.
Summer Event 2020[]
The Summer Event 2020 was added in update 2.13. It started on August 3 and ended on October 4. It included a 16-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, two limited-time plushies, and six new limited-time event cats: Svea, Sprinkles and Sofie, who were available through Alchemy; and Sunset, Steve and Sundae, who were acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of the seven previous Summer cats.
Anniversary Mini-Event 2020[]
The Anniversary Mini-Event 2020 was added in update 2.12 or 2.12.1. It began on June 15 and ran concurrently with the Call of Heroes event. It featured the return of all previous Anniversary heroes; all the new premium and Alchemy event cats from the past year; and an expansion to the Event Box to include all the new guild leader outfits, hero outfits and cats since Anniversary 2019.
Call of Heroes 2020[]
The Call of Heroes Event 2020 was added in update 2.12, starting on May 18 and ending on August 2. It included an 18-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and five new limited-time event cats: Tigerbat and Magic Mia, who were acquired through Alchemy; and Iko.N, Red Robin and Mequa, who were acquired through microtransaction. It also featured the return of the previous five Call of Heroes cats.
Spring Festival 2020[]
Spring Festival 2020 was a full event added in update 2.11 that started on March 23 for iOS and Amazon users and April 15 for Android users. It ended on May 17 after being extended due to delays in getting Google Play Store approval. It included a 15-quest story campaign, limited-time alchemy items, two limited-time plushies, and five new limited-time event cats: Eric and Florence, acquired through Alchemy; and Logan, June and Wendy, acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of the previous 15 Spring Festival cats.

The Lunar New Year 2020 mini-event was added in version 2.10 and started and ended with the Valentine Event 2020. It included one new limited-time event cat, Tufu, acquired through alchemy. It also featured the return of the previous Lunar New Year cats: Chi, acquired through alchemy; Xiao Hui, who could be acquired from the Shop for 300 gems; and Shen, acquired through microtransaction.

The Mew Year's Eve 2019 mini-event appeared at midnight (00:00) local time on December 31 and ended when the Purrismas Event 2019 did. It featured the return of the previous Mew Year's Eve cats: Gatsby and Eve in Alchemy; and Rocket, Jadis and Olivia, who could be acquired from the Event Shop for 300 gems. Unlike previous years, it featured no new content.

The Purrismas Event 2019 was added in update 2.9, and started on November 18, 2019, and ended on January 26, 2020. It included a 25-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and five new limited-time event cats: Holly and Gale, who were acquired through Alchemy; and Angela, Lumi and Boreal, who were acquired through microtransaction. It also featured the return of the three "Purrismas is Coming" cats and the previous thirteen Purrismas cats.

The Halloween Event 2019 was added in update 2.8, and started on September 23 and ended on November 17. It included a 16-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and five new limited-time event cats: Ferdinand and Lagoon, who were acquired through Alchemy; and Adriel, Surana and Marie, who were acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of the previous 16 Halloween cats.

The Anniversary Event 2019 was added in update 2.7, and started on July 29 and ended on September 22. It included a 23-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and six new limited-time event cats: Jason, Agatha and Dio, who were acquired through Alchemy; Basil, Minerva and Calli, who were acquired through microtransaction. It also featured the return of the three Charity Alchemy cats: Snappy, Bella and Bubbles.

It included a 21-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and three new limited-time event cats: Peanut, who was acquired through Alchemy; and Charlie and Mrs Paws, who were acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of the previous Purrismas cats: Frosty, Ginger, Snowball and Eych Tu-o in Alchemy; Santa Paws, Sandy Claws, Nicholas, Alfie and Lisa, offered for 300 gems each; and Rudolph, offered for 200 gems. The "Purrismas is Coming" cats were also available during this event.

The Halloween Event 2018 was added in update 2.2 on September 21 and ran until November 4. It included a 14-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and four new limited-time event cats: White Widow, who was acquired through Alchemy; and Hilda, Harvey and Lucy, who were acquired through microtransaction. It also featured the return of the previous twelve Halloween cats.
Charity Event 2018[]
The Charity Event 2018 was added in update 2.1 on August 13 and ran until September 16 after being extended, possibly due to player requests. It included a 15-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and two new limited-time event cats, Snappy and Bella, who were acquired through alchemy. It also featured the return of four of the previous Charity cats: Cole, Marmalade, Hosico and Matilda, offered through microtransactions.
Anniversary Event 2018[]
The Anniversary Event 2018 was added in update 2.0 on June 5 and ended on July 31. It included three new storylines spanning 24 quests, limited-time alchemy items, and two new limited-time event cats, Dorothy and Saito, acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of 27 previous event cats, some of which were grouped into limited-time Event Pack offers to celebrate the introduction of the Event Story Book.

The Call of Heroes Event 2018 was added in update 1.9 on April 20 and ended on May 27. It included a 14-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and five new limited-time event cats: Yarngirl, Dash and Stormcloud, acquired through Alchemy; and Justicecat and Metal Claw, acquired through microtransactions.
Cat Patrick's Day 2018[]
Cat Patrick's Day 2018 was a mini-event added in version 1.8.2 on March 16. It ended when the Spring Festival 2018 did, on April 18. It included one new limited-time event cat, Patricia, acquired through microtransaction. It also featured the return of the previous Cat Patrick's Day cat, Cat Patrick, offered for 200 gems.

Spring Festival 2018 was a full event added in update 1.8 on March 8 and ended on April 18 after being extended. It included a 20-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and four new limited-time event cats: Cluck Norris and Florinda, acquired through Alchemy; and Nolan and Baz, acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of the previous Spring Festival cats: Angel, Emma and Hen in Alchemy; Hop, offered for 300 gems; and Bob and Curio, each offered for 100 gems.
Lunar New Year 2018[]
The Lunar New Year mini-event was added in version 1.7.8, starting on February 12 and ending on March 5, the same date the Valentine 2018 event ended. It included two new limited-time event cats: Chi, acquired through Alchemy, and Shen, acquired through microtransaction.
Valentine Event 2018[]
The Valentine Event 2018 was added in version 1.7.2 on Android and 1.7.6 on iOS. It started on January 18 and ended on March 5. It included a 15-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and three new limited-time event cats: Julio, acquired through Alchemy; Charmer, acquired through microtransaction; and Gordon, acquired for 200 gems. It also featured the return of the previous Valentine cats: Purrcis, Oakenbeard and Gruna Barkle in Alchemy; and Amortina, offered for 300 gems.

Mew Year's Eve 2017[]
Mew Year's Eve 2017 was a mini-event that officially started at midnight (00:00) local time on December 31 and ended when the Purrismas Event 2017 did. Two updates during the Purrismas Event added four new cats to the game: Gatsby and Eve, hidden in Rare cat boxes; Rocket, acquired by microtransaction; and Jadis, acquired from the Event Shop for 300 gems. The cats were supposed to be a surprise, but the developaws announced it on Facebook after an error with Jadis. Interestingly, Rocket, the Hero Outfits, and the guild leader customization options were not available until Mew Year's Eve, but the other cats were available prior to that time.
Purrismas Event 2017[]
The Purrismas Event 2017 was added in update 1.7 on December 1, 2017, and ran until January 15, 2018 (after being extended, possibly due to player feedback). It included a 25-quest story campaign, limited-time alchemy items, and six new limited-time event cats: Ginger, Snowball and Eych Tu-o were acquired through Alchemy; and Alfie, Lisa and Nicholas were acquired through microtransactions. It also featured the return of the previous Purrismas cats: Rudolph, hidden in Rare cat boxes; Frosty, in Alchemy; and Santa Paws and Sandy Claws, each offered for 200 gems. The Alchemy "Purrismas is Coming" cats were also available during this event, as the event materials were carried over, with one material added.
"Purrismas is Coming"[]
"Purrismas is Coming", AKA the Pre-Purrismas Event, was a mini-event added in version 1.6.6 that ran between November 12 and November 28. It included three new limited edition cats: Tom Snow and Leesi, who were acquired through Alchemy; and Pete, who was acquired through microtransaction. It also had a theme... Game of Thrones.
Halloween Event 2017[]
The Halloween Event 2017 was added in update 1.6.1 on September 20 and ran until November 9. It included a 21-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and ten new limited-time event cats: Meowstein, Paytone, Kittysticks, Phantom, Anna and Bill, who were acquired through Alchemy; Jörgen, Rose and Silver, who were acquired through microtransactions; and Night Queen, who was offered for 300 gems. It also featured the return of the previous Halloween cats: Sabrina, hidden in Rare cat boxes, and Pumpy, offered for 200 gems.
Summer Event 2017[]
The Summer Event 2017 was added in update 1.5.2 on August 3 and ended on September 12. It included an 11-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and three limited-time event cats: Sandra and Amelia, who were acquired through Alchemy; and Wetbeard, acquired through microtransaction.
Anniversary Event 2017[]
The Anniversary Event 2017 was added in update 1.4.6 on June 29 and ended on August 3 after being extended for a week due to complications. It included a 17-quest storyline along with limited-time alchemy items and brings back the pre-release Event cats for another limited-time run.
Charity Event 2017[]
The Charity Event 2017 was added in version 1.4.3 on June 15 and ended on June 29. It included a 15-quest storyline marking the official release of the game and a whopping 15 limited-time event cats, each of which was modeled after a real-life social media celebrity cat: Nala, Waffles, Coffee, Cole, Marmalade, Oskar, Klaus, Monty, Hosico, Alice, Finnegan, Hiro, Maccha, Loki and Matilda, all of whom were acquired through microtransactions. One dollar of each sale went to a charity chosen by the purchased cat's real-life owner.

It included a 16-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and six limited-time event cats: Hop, Bob and Curio, who were acquired through microtransactions; and Angel, Emma and Hen, who were acquired through Alchemy.
Nouncy Campaign[]
The Nouncy campaign was a mini-event whose purpose was to help promote the official release of Castle Cats. Players were invited to share their love of the game on Twitter, Facebook, and/or Linked In and got 25 gems for doing so.
Cat Patrick's Day 2017[]
Cat Patrick's Day was a mini-event added in version 1.2.10 that ran between March 16 and March 23. It included one limited-time event cat, Cat Patrick, who could be crafted in Alchemy from 250 of a limited-time Cat Patrick's Day material. The materials could be acquired from quests or could be purchased through microtransation.
Nyan Nyan Nyan Day[]
Nyan Nyan Nyan Day was a mini-event mirroring the real-world celebration in Japan. It was added in version 1.2.9.5 on February 22 and ended on February 28. It included one limited-time event cat, Kenshin, a microtransaction cat.
Valentine Event 2017[]
The Valentine Event 2017 was added in version 1.2.9 on February 13 and ended on March 6. It included a 10-quest storyline, limited-time alchemy items, and four limited-time event cats: Purrcis, Oakenbeard and Gruna Barkle, who were acquired through Alchemy; and Amortina, a microtransaction cat.
Dress-Up Event[]
The Dress-Up Event was a mini-event added in version 1.2.8.3 on January 13 and ended on February 7 after being extended due to complications with payments. It included three variant versions of the main trio of heroes: Cleia, Knightniss and Francine, all acquirable for a limited time through microtransactions.
