- Ferdinand was one of four winners of the 4th Design a Castle Cat contest[1], designed by @waufie_cup.
- His name might be a reference to the title character of The Story of Ferdinand, a 1936 children's book and its animated film adaptations of 1938 and 2016, although the latter is a bull rather than a cow.
- Stitch gave him the nickname "Ferdie" in the Halloween 2019 Quest.
- Ferdinand is one of several Castle Cats heroes with heterochromatic eyes; the others include Charlie, Dango, Dexter, Franklyn and Sandra..
