- Cluck Norris' name is a play on the name of American actor and martial artist Chuck Norris, whose image is often used in internet memes.
- His Hero Book description parallels the dynamics of cuccos, chicken-like birds from the videogame franchise The Legend Of Zelda: if the player strikes a cucco multiple times it will call a flock to continuously attack the player until health is fully diminished.
