Trivia

Cassandra seems to be based on the Gorgon Medusa of Greek mythology.
- Cassandra's appearance resembles Medusa's, especially with regard to the snakes growing out of her head.
- Cassandra's Hero Book entry references how Medusa's face was so horrible that people who looked at her would turn into stone.
- Her line, "This is not my true form", references how, in later versions of the Medusa myth, Medusa was once a beautiful woman who was cursed by Athena into her current state.
She might also be named after the Greek mythical figure Cassandra, who, in some versions of her myth, was said to be able to know the future after snakes licked her ears.
