- A PocApp developaw has confirmed that Callum was inspired by multiple fictional characters although without specifically naming any.[1]
- One possible source suggested by fans is Zorro, like Callum a nobleman who dons a disguise and helps ordinary citizens in need.
- The motif of the protagonist of noble or otherwise privileged birth (eg. Bruce Wayne) who adopts a secret identity and does good deeds is not uncommon in fiction, going all the way back to Robin Hood.
- Other fans suggest Callum's appearance—in particular his royal blue jacket with old-fashioned epaulettes—is reminiscent of typical depictions of fairy tale Prince Charmings, and his Hero Book entry mentions his "charm".
- One possible source suggested by fans is Zorro, like Callum a nobleman who dons a disguise and helps ordinary citizens in need.
