• Bunny is a confirmed reference to the Sailor Moon franchise and its main character, Usagi Tsukino.
  • Both characters sport two balls of hair on either side of their heads, with a long tail of hair coming from each.
  • Bunny's Hero Book entry describes her as the "Guardian of the Moon", as is Sailor Moon, who defends her world from evil.
  • Bunny's name is a reference to the English translation of usagi, meaning "rabbit" in Japanese, which is itself a reference to Japanese folklore about a rabbit in the moon.
  • Her line, "In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!", is a direct quote from Sailor Moon's introductory speech.
  • Bunny's final outfit is based on that of Princess Serenity, an earlier incarnation of Sailor Moon.
  • The Halloween Alchemy hero Phantom is another confirmed reference to the Sailor Moon franchise.
